The Goethe-Institut and The Institut français have partnered to launch a 12-month intensive networking and qualification program, AyadaLab, for startups in five (5) West African countries namely, Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria, La Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana.
The French and German incubation program for West Africa calls for application from startup entrepreneurs from these countries, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, La Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal to apply into AyadaLab.
The incubation program is taking place from January to December, 2018, which will consist of local and regional workshops, mentoring by some of the best African entrepreneurs in the fields of cultural, digital and social entrepreneurship, networking with leading German and French cultural, social and digital entrepreneurs. The program takes place in English and French only.
There will be local and regional workshops, and these will be taking place in La Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria and Cameroon, with African cultural, social and digital experts to bolster the startups.
Individual mentoring, there will be a Round 2 selection of candidates for a full year individual mentoring and participation in the AyadaLab regional workshop.
Networking trips, participants will be in France and Germany to meet with European creative and tech industries experts.
If you are a young West African entrepreneur who meets the following criteria, AyadaLab welcomes you to apply:
- Be aged between 20 and 35
- Be a national of and based in either La Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria or Cameroon
- Have a one (1) year project experience or a tested idea creating value of innovation with high impact on society
- Have a project in the Cultural and Creative industries (fashion, books, cinema, etc.), Digital (online courses, e-learning, digital education), or Civil society issues (education, women rights and empowerment, civic tech, active citizens)
