CcHub Announces Startups Will Get Capital Up to $250,000 in 2018/19 Program

CcHUB announces a new direction in its incubation program starting this year 2018. Having supported the Nigerian tech community over the past seven (7) years, CcHUB says it is introducing new innovations with their 12 moths incubation program which is scheduled to kickstart in the early days of April.

This improvement they explained came as a result of identifying, “areas of improvement through feedback from current and past incubatees as well as the larger community, and revamped our incubation program to produce better outcomes.”

The improved version of the incubation program will first and foremost affect its duration. The new incubation program, as they suggest, will now run for a fixed duration of 12 months, as opposed to 18+ months. The new system has been designed to be more intentional about the support they give to startups with a core focus on enabling them to gain more traction and access funding post-incubation.

In the area of funding, incubatees who already have equity investment of up to $25,000 during the program, will now get direct access to possible follow-on capital of up to $250,000 from the Growth Capital fund by CcHUB.

CcHUB says it will from now place more emphasis on growth and distribution as they have identified how challenging it can be for startups to reach their customers quickly and effectively, which will involve one-on-one sessions with experts in sales, marketing, and distribution, as well as marketing opportunities via partnerships with media platforms, companies and personalities.

Startups accepted into the program from now on would have access to the network of partners the incubator has built across the globe which includes several benefits such as $15,000 in credit from Amazon Web Services.

Application to the 2018/19 Program is now opened and deadline for submission is March 16th. The program, CcHUB throws more light on, is open to startup teams from anywhere in the world that are looking to grow their businesses in Africa, particularly Nigeria, and looks out for committed and ambitious founders with technological solutions that have gained some traction, generating revenue, addresses a clear need or want and has the potential to scale.
